Checks in the mail
Sorry I haven't sent some beforew.

This is such a good forum and I have learned alot from the informed opinions of the members. Thanks to all who contribute.
Sam, hope you get better quickly. Had something like what you have a couple of months ago. Took about 6 weeks to finally get rid of the cough. Good Luck. Thanks again for keeping this a great site.

Hey, Adele...I'm more concerned with Sam's illness...it doesn't sound good. I had something similar last year and it developed into pneumonia and I almost didn't make it outta the hospital. If you have a good University Hospital near you, or, at least, a really good hospital, I would take Sam to the emergency room there. That virus has a good hold on him and should be treated aggressively. Good luck and please keep us posted.

Adele,
Here's wishing Sam the very best. I too am recovering from what you say Sam has. Took me over 6 weeks to shake mine, and I still suffer from the effects.
I apologize for not being more active in the forum, both personally and financially. Had a gang of problems.
Hope things are getting squared away now, and my donation is in the mail.Stress is when you wake up screaming and then you realize you haven't fallen asleep yet.Comment

I just re-upped.
Tell Sam to hang in there, our best thoughts are with you. The creeping crud went through our family, the twins and mom saw the doctor, I was just about to when I started clearing up a bit. Still blowing stuff out my nose now and then, a little bit of congestion, but I'm mostly recovered.

Thanks for all the support gang! I'm about 95% better now, and am finally feeling like getting back to business.
Once again I appreciate Hank and all the others for getting the fund drive going. Tonight I put our "thermometer" back up on the top of the site to track our progress.
As the case was this past year, tracking of the "patron status" is currently not working. THe good news is that the new forum software that we will be moving to has an integrated system that will keep itself up to date. It works directly with PayPal and keeps track of who donated what. I can also make "manual" adjustments in the case of checks mailed to me.
I have just about completed the configuration and stylizing of the new forum software and hope to migrate to it soon. As mentioned earlier, there will be the issue with the passwords getting hosed up, there is just no way around it. THe encryption hash is just too good in Snitz for any developers to be able to programatically extract the passwords.
Once we move to the new site, initially BT3Central.com will cease to exist as we know it and that address will point only to the new forum software. In other words, everything but the forum will dissapear (including imbedded photos!). Once the forum is up and stable, then I can begin implementing the add-ins like photogallery, legacy embedded photos, articles, banner ads, etc.
Here's to another great year here at BT3Central!!!

I just threw in some...but I feel guilty for not contibuting about $400. I figure the advice in Bargain Alerts and other forums has helped me save about that much over the last year or so!Mike

What Mike said. The bargain alerts forum has saved me hundreds of dollars (while costing me hundreds! "But honey, look at how much I saved!"). The other forums are priceless too for the friendship, inspiration, handy hints and pure entertainment value. I've thrown my few pesos into the hat, and feel guilty for not being able to donate more. A big thank you to Sam & Adele.Comment
