    HD took that employee coupon

This was somewhere in here, and I can't find it at the moment. The "special gift for you, 20% off" coupon. They took it from my printout now questions asked. Got the Ridgid spindle/belt sander for 160$

They didn't say anything about the coupon being non transferable and not to be copied?

Besides being not transferable or "copy-able" I note that the fine print lists it as being valid for only a few locations...

But can't hurt to try...it worked for Keith!

I took the coupon in today and got the 20% off. Three saw blades and the Ryobi Miter saw table. I saved 35 dollars.

You mean the line that says it's only good at every Home Depot plus all the other stores that HD owns?

No, I was referring to the line over on the right that says "This offer valid and redeemable for a 20% discount on a single receipt in-store purchase at
The Home Depot, EXPO Design Center, The Home Depot Supply retail locations in Phoenix, AZ, Milpitas, CA, Colma, CA, Mesquite, TX, and Highlands Ranch, CO…

Now that I read it closer, I see it is referring only to "Home Depot Supply" stores.

The Milpitas, CA "Ho' Depot Supply" store makes me laugh... they have "CONTRACTORS ONLY" written across the doors in large letters. I've never been refused admission, even though I'm clearly a techie nerd and not a contractor. They did refuse to take a Lowes 10% coupon when I bought a Ridgid planer from them though. Had to take the coupon and receipt to the regular store to get the 10% refunded.

The location disclaimer is specific to 'The Home Depot Supply' stores, and has no restriction on locations of Home Depot stores, Expo Centers, etc.

I've seen everything now. I was doing a net search for the Home Depot coupon, and I got a hit on e-bay. People are selling them for money on E-bay. So I guess all of you coupon clippers can just rack it in. Sell yoour coupons on E-bay, and get right. Just kidding. Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/Home-Depot-or-Ex...QQcmdZViewItem

I have a friend who manages a HD store, and I've been wheedling him for info regarding online coupons, mailout coupons, competitive price matching, etc. Seems the coupons are a hot topic company-wide right now. They count their losses there in the TENS OF MILLIONS yearly. The official line is that they don't issue, and won't take anything that has traveled online, even if the original was snail-mail. They are educating employees on how to spot fakes (paper quality, print quality, etc.) and are taking steps to improve their security on their own coupons, such as microprint, watermarks, serial numbers, individualized barcodes (keyed to the original addressee), and so forth. In short, coupons will soon be handled just like gift cards.

On the HF issue, he says they are SUPPOSED to refuse all HF ads and coupons in towns where there is NOT a HF store within 30 miles, and even if there is a store, they are SUPPOSED to refuse on-line coupons PERIOD. Obviously, there will be times when somebody gets away with something, but the company tracks even those discretionary discounts made by managers (they call them "adjustments") and will randomly ask a manager to explain how any such "adjustment" benefited the company. In a nutshell, customer goodwill is still valued, but they are determined NOT to turn scammers and abusers into rich people.
...eight, nine, TEN! Yep! Still got all my fingers!

I printed it out and cut off the small print part. He looked at it, and asked me if I was an employee
and I said no and then he called over another casier to ask him how to ring this particular coupon.
They didn't have any other questions and or problems and took off 20%. I just wished I had something bigger
to buy. The Herculift cost only $24.

If Home Depot refuses it, you can always use it at Lowes.
