Bowls even 
. First and third (?) pics are a Quilted Maple bowl... man this stuff is a nightmare to work with.... you WILL learn to sharpen your turning tools to Scary Sharp levels. Second pic is a Purpleheart bowl and Zebrawood Ring Catcher. The PH bowl blank was two 7/8" thick by 3.5" diameter circles cut from the end of a scrap PH board (the rest of the board is becoming a PH Native American Flute for my oldest daughter). I lined up the grains and glued them together just to see what it would look like when turned.
