    craftsman RAS crosscut capacity

two years back, i got an upgrade kit for my c-man 10" RAS. unfortunately, nothing was usable as it is a really old model (mid 60s), but i was able to get the table to fit my saw. it now has a CC capacity of 16", which is turning out to be a really handy thing to have. i was fabricating 2 raised panel "rosettes" that will top the 2 main carrying beam support columns in a basement remodel. not only was i able to size them on the RAS, but i also used the RAS to remove the bevel offcuts:

so for those users out there with older c-man RASs, if you can figure out a way to get the kit, it will provide approximately 4" more CC capacity with the new table and supports.
there's a solution to every problem.......you just have to be willing to find it.
