    Outdoor room wiring

This is related to this thread:
    http://www.bt3central.com/showthread...616#post499616

But I wanted to keep the matter of the wall construction and the electrical wiring separate.

Basically, we have an outdoor room with two walls, a roof, and two walls open to the elements.

I'm working on how to build the interior of the walls to give them a finished look- it's currently the original wood studs and the original wood cladding and stucco.

But I'm also wondering what will be needed for the electrical.

First off, what are the codes (in general) for outdoor areas? Does the outlet every 6' requirement apply? Knowing I'm going to be closing the walls in, what kind of electrical is allowed? Can I run NM in the walls, or do I need to use a water approved NM? Can I use boxes with standard NM clamps? Or do I need conduit with water tite connections to the boxes?

For the wall outlets, I plan on using these:

Which I think would look better than the typical surface mounted box and one of these:

And for the switches, I'll use water tite switch covers:

But other than that, I have no idea what's require/ necessary/ or just good practice.

I've done a LOT of electrical, and inside the house I have no worries. But exterior work is another matter all together.

    Thanks!
