Just in time for grilling season! If you want to see the build, look here: http://www.sawdustzone.org/forum/dis...egg-cart-build
Finished my BGE table today. I decided to play it safe and asked my neighbor to help get it into the hole. I muscled it onto the top myself but wasn't going to risk my back getting it in. He held it by the hinge in the back and I held it by the strap.
After my neighbor left, I immediately discovered a problem. When I opened the lid, the hinge hit the table and the lid wouldn't open all the wayt. WTH? I followed the schematic from the BGE site (http://www.biggreenegg.com/wp-conten...E-TP-LARGE.pdf) to make the distance of the top to the base to be 15"--mine ended up being 15 1/8"--but that still wasn't enough. I used some scrap white oak to raise the whole thing up 3/4". Now there's enough clearance to open the lid. This did work out for me, though, because the light I have attached to my handle has just enough clearance, too.
Rolled into its final resting place. Reclaimed ipe decking for the top and white oak I air dried myself for the table structure and bottom shelf.
Thanks for looking.
