In The Market For A Makita LS1016L?
My local HD has been selling this SCMS for $499 for awhile now. Today I noticed that they had it marked down to $449 so I bought one. I've been wanting this saw for quite some time now so I'm pleased with this deal. When I got it home I looked online and saw that according to HD's website "this item is not sold at this store" or any other HD withing a 50 mile radius of me. As this saw has been sold at my HD for years this leads me to believe that they are closing out this item. Maybe not nationally but around here at least.
So, if you've been thinking about pulling the trigger on this SCMS you might want to check out your local HD. Of course, YRMV.
