I signed up for a Zinio account, from a tip I got in a webOS newsletter. Zinio sells digital subscriptions for a number of magazines, including some woodworking and DIY stuff. A day after I signed up I got an email with my $25 credit.
I got a year of Family Handyman (10 issues) and Woodworker's Journal (6 issues) absolutely free. Didn't enter a credit card, disabled auto renew. I think the only info I gave them was my email address.
