Makita 14.4V Cordless Impact Model 6932

If you don't mind the extra weight of the NiMh batteries, this really is a heck of a deal at woodcraft, and they still have the free shipping going as well, just use code 12010. Cost is $99.99, regular price 259.99

I have this unit. It came together in a kit with a drill, fluorescent lamp, two batteries and a charger. Bought at BORG as couple of years back for around $140 as they were being blown out then. I already had a Makita 14.4 drill and the batteries are an exact match. It would cost you more to buy two batteries than this offer.

As to performance, the impact driver works great. I last used it to screw a few hundred Hardiscrews through Hardibacker/plywood and it blew through the job pretty well. Needed all four batteries fully charged to get through the task. It needs the power of fully juiced NiMh.
