Big Trucks.. The Beauty, The Beast and Horrible Harv

We went for a walk today and ran across these bad boys all lined up.

Lampson uses them to haul submarine nuclear reactors from the barge dock out to the Hanford site for long term storage..

The Beauty and the Beast are Hendrickson Heavy push/pull Trucks

Horrible Harv and his unnamed friend are Melroe M880s

this is what they do with em.

Ah yes, the Hanford Nuclear Reservation, managed to WPPS, as I recall the acronymn was pronounced whoops... Real confidence inspiring...

Interesting rigs though. I wonder if the cabs are lead lined to protect the drivers from radiation...

I would think the reactors themselves are lined, or the people in the subs they are building would be dead before returning.

Now if there is a leaking one, then I would expect the drivers to be wearing the suits to deal with them.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.
