So I Watched Craigslist For The Last 3 Weeks

with an eye towards replacing the mower. Didn't see anything worth it - either overpriced junk or stuff way above my budget. Last night I finally went and got a spiffy new one. After we put the kids to bed, there was an email waiting for me from my brother. A link to a ZTR on CL for the price I wanted to pay. Did some checking this morning and of course there are half a dozen riders that all look to be decent deals for the price.

I wish I had a big enough yard to need a riding mower. When I lived in Kansas I shared a Dixon ZTR with my FIL and LOOKED FORWARD to mowing the lawn. It was my favorite hour of the week.

With some nice tunes coming through the headphones and a cold soft drink in the cupholder, I could mow that lawn like nobody's business.

The last thing I read about the mower story on April 6 was that you already made a deal:

Cabman, what's your point? It didn't stop me from looking at CL. He knew I was going to. I didn't actually buy it until last night, and of course this morning there were several used I would have been interested in.

No point really, just trying to follow. Happens to me too. Better deals come around right after making a deal. "C'est la vie"...as they say.

Lowes and HD usually have pretty good return policies - so if you haven't used it (or maybe if you have and are comfortable returning it) returning it is an option if you find something you like better on CL.
