The lack of standing never stopped anyone from suing somebody, anybody. If it were anybody else, she would already have lawyers writing a letter to YouTube to pull down her videos, or push on the TV network to use/abuse copyright laws to do so (try posting a video of New Yankee Workshop on YouTube and see how fast that gets pulled).

Could have Google/Youtube forced to identify the people who uploaded her videos and sue them for malicious infliction of emotional harm, or whatever the code words are now for "I felt bad because of what you did, so you owe me millions." Or just generally put up a tantrum of how unfair everyone is.

I really would not have been surprised if her lawyers came up with something. But in this case, she might actually have been smart and laughed along with the rest of us. Pretty soon, this will be forgotten, and the next faux pas (read: Elections '08) will have stolen the spotlight.

After all, what matters is "the cover-up, not the crime."

Sue the railroad, they are used to it. After all it did kind of look like a train-wreck! I think if she sued for malicious infliction of emotional harm she would be both, plaintiff and defendant. I think she is smarter than we, or at least I, give her credit for.

I think she new she was in a public forum and cannot be suprised that photo's and video was shot. It was a beauty contest. I think that anyone who has been asked questions in public has walked away only to think of a better answer. This was just an extreme example.
