    Tradesman VS Belt/Disc Sander

I see that the Tradesman Belt/Disc Sander that Lowe's is selling offers Variable Speed, that's not an option that I ever recall seeing on these units before. I was wondering if anybody has one of these that can provide some feedback, or if anybody's looked closely at these units yet???

I'll be in the market for one of these soon and I really like the idea of VS. What are your feelings on the VS guys?? Do you think it would be useful or just a waste of upgrade cash??

No clue on the VS option...but sounds cool. HD has the Ryobi HD4600 on clearance for $87. It will go vertical like the tradesman you linked to...but not VS.
I do have an old tradesman 14" BS....works great.
