Natural Edge Lidded Pot from Carob Wood

Here's a little something I made for the "Challenge and Trade" over at Woodturner's Resource (www.woodturnersresource.com). Its about 4 inches in diameter, about 4.5 inches tall, and made from Carob wood. Thanks for looking!

    Bill,

    Thanks!

That is really attractive and shows some great skill.

I don't "turn", but it is projects like this that I just find so attracting. If I can ever find the time to get my shed finished, I am seriously considering trying to make room for a lathe.

    Thanks again,

    CWS

Thanks CWS. I'm happy with the way it turned out for the most part. Most challenging part was the hollowing hand sanding inside, when I realized I really don't have a good tool set for those functions on something this small.

Your turnings are making me jealous. Great looking pot and lid! I am having to put in a new subfloor on my workshop and it will be a couple of weeks or three to finish and get to turning. In the mean time I did get three spindle chisels. They definitely need sharpening. I also bought a tormek jig to go on my Grizzly that will do fingernail sharpening.

Hank, looking forward to seeing some of your pieces when you are able to get started.
