This is my largest bowl turning to date, with a finished diameter of 12", and 4.5" high. Made from some of the California Peppertree I have left, it was around a 14in blank to start, but I had to turn away some cracked material. Another new bowl shape for me. This was my first large turning with the 34706 headstock rotated 90 deg. to the bed. Worked very well. The finish is friction polish and beeswax. This will be donated to a charity auction. Thanks for looking.

Thanks for your kind words. I don't often get blanks in this size, so it was a treat. Today I did score some olive and some "Caribou" (not familiar with that) log sections, so hopefully I'll get some nice blanks from those.Bill in Buena ParkComment

I wish you better luck than I had donating to charities. I donated 2 of my Tiny Tables that I usually get $200 ea. for and they brought $15 and $25. Several others that donated expensive merchandise (bikes, vacation rental packages and yetis ) were also disappointed by the low returns. I would have rather donated the cash than have someone buy them for that price and turn around and put them on Craigslist for $100Comment
