Now that’s an easy way to clean a filter! It must have been their first one because they got away quickly, I’d just stand there and hold it down!
I wish cleaning the filters on my dust collector would work this way but they catch dust on the inside. What a stupid way to do it!

Yes, but isn't that the wrong direction?

Yes, it is the wrong direction, but I haven’t seen any commercially manufactured homeowner dust filters set up any other way. Bottom line, it’s cheaper for the manufacturers this way. Industrial filters are in a box, just like an automotive air filter where the outside of the filter catches the dust and the inside is clean. Some automotive air filters also have a changeable inner filter that fits inside the canister filter…….really good idea. If I had any giddy up and go left in me, when I replace my 2 clearvue filters I would build a filter box where the filters catch dust on their outsides. That way I too could use firecrackers to clean my filters!

I wonder where they got those large firecrackers? The ones I find at fireworks stands are the small Black Cats and wouldn’t even blow a mailbox door open!
