    Anyone know about Rockwell  34-450?

My local school district closed down their shop classes.

They have lots of stuff in an auction (no preview due to COVID)

Among the items are two (2) 34-450 tablesaws.

I'm thinking of bidding, but am worried about electricity specs.

    manual here http://vintagemachinery.org/pubs/detail.aspx?id=5174
says it can be equipped with a 1.5 or 2 HP motor. That doesn't really tell you if its 120 or 240 or dual wired.

I really doubt 1.5 or 2 HP will be 3-phase.
now 3 HP and 5 HP are in the range where 3-phase would be likely.

I'm no expert on THAT one saw, but my experience in shopping around is that Delta offered many motor options. As said above, 3-phase is very unlikely in a small motor (2HP and down). Any way to view the machine, or get them to provide a nameplate photo? What fence is on it? Any condition notes?

I have an early 80s vintage 3HP Unisaw, with their Biesemeyer fence, model 36-812. I picked it up long ago dirt cheap and cleaned it up. It's rock solid and smooth once you get it tuned. I've spent a LOT of time tuning it to perfection, but it's well worth it and holds for years. The result is no burning, no drama, no vibration, just great and safe cuts.
