New toy just arrived

I had anxiously been waiting for the arrival of my new "baby" and wondered when it was going to get here as I didnt get any shiping notification.

Doorbell just rang and there is the UPS man with this, its very pretty and shiny




I guess this weekend I better get around to building the tabletop for it to sit in...

Congrats on the new toy. Mine is a very crude shop made unit. It works, but not nearly as well as yours will.

This will be my third router table and I am expecting it to work well for a few years to come. My only reason for changing again will be if I ever get the chance to have my own dedicated shop and will have enough room for a large freestanding one. The thing that I love about this lift is the above table bit changes and the fact that you can raise or lower it to any position with one turn of the special wrench.

I did get lucky with a good deal. I was intending on buying one anyway and already had a 10% of coupon but a few weeks back WPs had it on special for one day only so it ended up costing only $162.

Given that I had just saved a bit extra I also got one of these to go with it. Yes I could have made one, but this matches the holes in the lift, has a nice thick guard and a DC connection. I probaly would have spent at least $10 in parts so I thought what the heck...

You are going to wonder how you ever got along without it!!!!! I've had me since right after they came out and haven't had a moments trouble with it. Good Luck.
I also made one of the freehand guards too and it is handy; not indispensable but handy. The best thing I see with it is that there is virtually no chips on the tabletop when you are finished.

Its the Quick Lift 350A. Its going to have my Bosch 1617 in it.
