    Hitachi cb13f parts

I was merrily working away yesterday when I discovered I need to use my band saw.I have it mounted on a bt3k base so I grabbed the handles and proceeded to move it into the centre of the garage. What I failed to notice was I hadn't put the bolts back to anchor it to the top.

Sod's law being what it is, I caught the base on some lumber and it went crashing onto the floor. It landed smack on the table and snapped the casting that mounts it to the frame. The air in the garage was blue when I saw the bottom of the table.

I've looked on the Hitachi website and they don't even list the owners manual for it so I'm not sure if I'll get much assistance from them. Does anyone here know of a place to get parts for discontinued Hitachi tools? It may be possible to get the casting welded but I'm concerned the heat from welding might affect the flatness of the table.

I am not associated with them, nor have I bought from them, but I have been able to find exploded diagrams and parts manuls, including yours, through them:

    http://www.toolpartsdirect.com/cgi-b.../hitachi/CB13F

Are you talking the tube that the table mounts on? I see it as 726986 and $78.34 preshipping/tax, etc. If that is the piece, could you use a piece of steel tubing from the hardware store?

One other place I would be tempted to try, once you click on the parts diagram and download the pdf, is reconditionedsales, since they do, do Hitachi reconditioning.

      Thanks for the link mate.

Looking at that parts diagram, I think its the trunnion bracket which they list as $43.99.

I used to have a pdf of the manual but all my woodworking pdf's disappeared off my desktop somehow. The cb13f forum where I got it from is unfortunately no more.

        Manual for CB13F

I have the manual for the CB13F in PDF if anyone still needs it. Just pmail me.

There are some typos in the manual that are important. The manual incorrectly states that when switching the saw to 2600 FPM from 1410 FMP, use pulley grooves 1 and 2. It should state 1 and 1, otherwise the belt will not be co-planer.
