    Prazi Chestmate dovetail jig

    Has anyone seen or used this thing?



    Seemed like a good idea, if it was inexpensive, but I think it has several kisses of death.
    It appears to be a fairly new tool. It can do dovetails on boards wider then 24" (find me some of those boards), and adjustable spacing. They show Woodcraft selling it (so I may have to go look this weekend), but two things caught me. The first was I saw a Handyman approval sticker (from that club), the second, on this NEW tool, was I found it at HF (didn't buy it, didn't even see a price till I got home).
    She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

          Up until yesterday I owned a Prazi saw guide that I used twice in 5 years. It was clever looking, but was very cumbersome to use. I sold that puppy in a garage sale and was glad to be rid of it. I see that they no longer advertise it on their website, so I presume they no longer make it.

              I saw this at HF also. I beleive it was $99. Amazon has it for $84 and there are 2 reviews on it.
