    Freud LU85R010 10-Inch Blade

Is this a good blade for a SCMS, or would I do better with something else? I have one but I'm debating about exchanging it.

Generally considered good for the CMS, but as it's a positive hook angle, not considered good for the SCMS.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

The Freud LU91R would be a better choice.

I posted a link to Rockler's web site, for selecting blades last week, but here it is again in case you are interested: http://www.rockler.com/articles/disp...fm?story_id=85

I run an LU91M on my SCMS and it cuts great. the "M" is a plain blade with no red coating. they are about $48 from amazon.

I can't seem to locate the LU91M on Amazon (or Rockler for that matter).

try LU91M010 for the complete part # for a 10" blade

you can try replacing the R in any of the blade part numbers with an M to see if they sell the blade uncoated.
