Thanks Goslin. I also wanted to sign up but heard you had to go into a store and fill out an application. This makes it so much easier.

The web address looks funny. Not Sears. Are we certain we aren't handing over our E-Mail addresses, etc., to some spammer?

Same concern. Here's what I did..

          1. www.sears.com
          2. Tools (Top right hand tab)
3."Sign to be a Craftsman Club Member" (Under "Related Links" at bottom left)

But then again what's to stop Sears from spamming us

Great find. I joined a few years ago and it was a PITA and a very long wait before I got my card.

This produces the same URL as the original poster so I'd say it's safe.

I get the emails on sales etc but NO card
What does the card get you?
Does it get discounts at the local stores as well or just notification of the sales pending that pretty much everyone can access?

I've been a member for a while and still get the flier in the mail. It still shows the prices and the club member prices. I just show the card when I'm in the store to get the sale item discount for club members.

I signed up at the store and got the discount when I bought my 21829 last fall.

Haven't recieved anything from Sears. One of these days I'll have to actually check and make sure I am a member.

chtah appears to be a legitimate marketing company. I receive mailings that I signed up for from several other stores (Bj's club, for example) from them. I don't know if they might also do some spam, but they do stuff that isn't.

Right now, I can get the 22114 TS for $566 with the CC discount. Now, if that guy will just buy my electronic drum set then I can go shopping
