First Real Tool Gloat ... for me at least

Well after waiting patiently, I've finally nailed at deal on a 6" jointer (don't have room for an 8" at the moment) ... after a deal on a 6" General fell thru.

It's a Ridgid 6" (Emmerson Grey version) which was only used once and looks like brand new except for dust from sitting in the shop ... paid only $250 CDN (approx $210 USD) and have seen them going for normally about $350~$450 CDN used.

A fellow who bought a bunch of tools for a shop to make some toys, then got too busy listed them on our local Kijiji classifieds (similar to Craigslist, only more widely used here).

But I missed out on ... a Ridgid 13" planner for $200 CDN, Ridgid Belt/Spindle Sander $150CDN, Ridgid Air Cleaner $150 CDN ... all looked new which I said I was interested in but he sold to someone else who should up before I could get there the same day ... which I was a little bummed about.

I don't get seller's not giving an interested buyer at least the day to show up to buy items ... I had to work until 5pm yesterday, the other fellow showed up during working hours ...

Still happy about the jointer though ...

Congrats on the jointer, that's a heck of a deal.

Good find. If it's the JP06000 I got the same model (picked up a couple of weeks ago). I'm still waiting for the boeshield rust free to remove some of the rust on top. I have a copy of the manual for it if you need a copy.
