I'm curious as to how the beam changes angles when it strikes the sheet of paper, causing it to show a line across the flat surface of the paper.

      laser bug killer

I'm still waiting for my device to appear:
Laser guided Cockroach and insect killer.

Looks like an ordinary laser pointer device.
The button has two stages, Depressing it slightly turns on the laser in low power AIM mode and allows one to aim at the pest.
Once locked on taget, Depressing it firmly will switch the laser to high power.
A rotary switch on the device has three positions. Labelled:
      • Stun
      • Kill, leave body
      • Kill, leave no body (Vaporize)
If you have delicate walls, or you aim is a little shakey, I suggest using Stun mode.
