hands down, my Makita LS1214L 12" compound sliding miter saw. There was a glitch on Amazon about a 1/2 year ago, and I scored it for $43.70. That's right 43 bucks and change.

I ordered 2, one for me and my brother. I had the Amazon Prime at the time, so I got free 2 day shipping. Other people who I told about it and ordered didn't get them. Out of about 12 people I told, only one other person got it (he ordered overnight).

The cherry on top was the free blade rebate I got from Makita....still can't believe it.

Next would probably be the 3.5HP Craftsman plunge router I scored the other day for $20 (floor model) from Sears.

After that, probably the Ridgid 4pc 24V Li tool kit for $197 last week (bros Xmas present) and free rebate for a cordless jigsaw.

I have never paid even close to full retail for power tools.

LOML's boss from years ago quit woodworking and called me to come with a UHaul trailer and pick up the tools if I wanted them.

Left with Jet 14" DP, Powermatic 63 TS, Delta 14" BS w/riser blocks, Ryobi planer, jointer, Delta lathe w/variable speed, Orca mini lathe, Craftsman routercrafter, buckets of clamps, glass engraver, thread cutter, several Forrest TS blades, Ryobi 3hp router w/metal table, IMP fence, some Incra jigs, and a bunch of other stuff I haven't identified yet.

Gosh, my deals pale by comparison after reading many of the posts! Perhaps the best deal in recent history was a closeout purchase from Sears. They had their 18V cordless drill and circular saw for $65, and it had 2 batteries, plus charger and case, for $65.

I use the drill constantly, and the saw occasionally, since I have a very nice old Craftsman Commercial corded circular saw.

My favorite tool, and I did get it for $50 off the old price of $499, is the DeWalt 13" planer. (It now sells for $549.) Has to be the best single tool I've ever owned in terms of just pure excellence in design, ease of use, and smoothness of the cut.
