New Craftsman Jointer-- Is this ok?

I recently purchased a floor model jointer and the fence for the table seems to be misaligned. Take a look at this picture and see if you can help.

If there aren't any clearance issues, you should be OK. If there are, I would either contact a Sears service center or return the unit.
