Friends borrow tools and bring them back in good shape. The others don't.

As far as VB goes, I think the friends list was developed due to the use of it on social networking sites. There can be some other permissions set up for friends, like viewing gallery items. BT3central really doesn't make use of it.

*edit: I also found that you can change your privacy settings in your Usercp. The Friends list can be used there as well.

Friends is an extension of the contact list. For someone to be a friend, you have to be on each other's contact list.

Actually the members of BT3Central do not use it much! There are many benefits of using it.

Yea, that what I meant. We don't really make use of it.

Is there a printed explanation somewhere, or can you describe what it provides?
