I wish I could get a glue bottle to last long enough to have to build a cap puller! Good idea!
I use the 2 for .99 dollar store ketchup bottles. The kind with the dinky little cap on a dinkier little plastic strap that breaks the first time you use it! The second time I use it the dinky cap gets lost and I start using one of the many Sharpie caps I have saved back. If the glue gets thick or the bottle gets yucky it gets thrashed and replaced with a fresh bottle.

Neat. I use a pair of Craftsman Robo-grip pliers that hang on the shop pegboard wall when faced with a stuck glue bottle top. My biggest issue with glue bottles is the spout getting clogged internally. The clear sliding cap on TiteBond bottles used to be able to be popped off (small diameter screw cap), but the newer larger caps don't have that capability that I've seen.

This is something I WILL make. I think every (well, most every) woodworker has needed that many times over the years.
. . . Then there are the few who clean their glue bottles along with their tools every time.

got tired of seeking a pair of pliers to open stuck glue bottle. Weird size diameter. 0.577", a little bigger than 9/16" (0.5625).
OK probably took 20 minutes by the time I was done with the rounded end and hole for hanging you can't see.
Mine is way longer than it needs to be.. Length 4-5 inches probably right
Stock was 1" x 5/16" thick. 11/32" is ideal thickness, 3/8" is too thick.
