    Worth Buying?

Taking a look at this tomorrow to potentially use as a workbench top. Even if its SFP I'm thinking it is worth the asking price to save the time laminating the boards.

    Thoughts?

    Go for it

I don't need it but if I came across that deal in my neighborhood it would already be in my garage. Short of stealing the lumber you could not get by that cheap. At 2" if you build a good sturdy base it should be plenty strong. Plus with a heavy base it won't move on you when planing. Holes can be plugged and the surface can be planed or sanded. If you use it it will eventually get dinged up and stained anyway. When this happens to mine I figure it's just acquiring character.

If it's flat and tight, I'd probably grab it...

Definitely worth $50. With its nicks, scratches and holes, call it "experienced".

Agree with the rest of the crew.

That's not a bad price and it'll last a long time. As noted early on, with a good base, it'll be a great bench to work on.

I would go for it as well. It looks to be okay. Should make for a great benchtop.

That's what I use for my workbench top. Go for it. Or -- you can buy a nice euro style workbench from Grizzly for $900 or so.
