And then there's always the classic UTS.

Yeah...that was posted a long time ago here and I have it in my favorites. I love that thing...really a handy work table for anyone doing constuction type work. Problem is....you have to have a lot of space to use it. I hope to have the space and build one some day. The space is going to be the problem.

Hummm.. I had forgotten about the UTS. Thanks for the reminder!

I am in the process of building Nahm's garage base and wall cabinets. I have finished the wall cabinets but havent started the base cabinets. My thinking now is that i might build the UTS instead and use that as/instead of base cabinets, but when needed for projects, clear off the top and roll it out into the middle of the garage.

The more stuff on wheels, the better.

hey, i found a source today for phenolic resin laminate pieces.the stuff they sell for router tables/inserts. big stuff like up to 3'x5' layin in a dumpster near my job.grabbed about 6 pieces.
heck pieces this size are like $100 anywhere ive seen and not even as thick.nice designs too. its from arborite.com (there was a label one 1 piece)

i think this will make a pretty good surface for the UTS,which i wanted to build. eh?? i really like the uts's others have made here.and desperately need a bench.

i also turned up some nice granite and marble slabs being tossed,at a marble company, maybe 2'x3' or so,i took 4 pieces to make littel end tables or something. who knnows what'll be there next week:-D
dumpster divin's been pretty sweet lol.
i bet theres more finds in this industrial park too
