So on Friday I went to the Borg to get a sheet of melamine for a small project. I needed it cut lengthwise to fit in my minivan, so I humped it onto a cart and rolled it over to the cutting station, then searched the store and cornered an employee who could run the saw.
He pointed to a sign on the saw that said, "plywood only, no MDF, no melamine." He explained that several employees around the country had claimed that their lung cancer was caused by fine dust, so management was no longer letting them cut anything but plywood.
I must have had a sad face, because he cut it for me anyway.
Anyone heard anything about this?
