    Band Saw Box Week

Been making up some band saw boxes this week. Done in stages, taking a few hours here and there I am now done with the glue-up, band sawing and re-glueing stages. Its now all about the sanding. Aaarrggghhh! still the biggest bain of any woodworker. I think if somebody could figure out a good solution to this we would all pay many $$$s to avoid hours of sanding dust etc.

Excellent job. I love band saw boxes and have at least one almost done, but the sanding is preventing me from finishing. I agree, it sucks. I wish I had an OSS, which would make it easier. I have a drum on my DP, but it's small and doesn't help much.

Maybe You inspired me to go out and finish it.

Joey, go out immediately and buy an oss. tell your wife that Jon said you must have one. making bandsaw boxes without one is a real pain. even the harbor freight one us better than nothing.

Jon - very nice work, can't wait to see how those finish out!

And Joey - I second Jon's mandate for your OSS. I've had my HF OSS for about 10 years now, still going strong, and its been indispensable for sanding inside curves.
