    If you can't find thicker stock, you can face glue 3/4" stock. After milling and squaring, you'd have 1-3/8" thick stock.

      Good idea Brian G.. Hadn't thought of doing that. I was at the cabinet supply shop today and they have 1 5/8 in. poplar for .90 per ft. Think it was 2 in. wide.

      Not sure if the wife wants it painted or natural, but that will determine what type wood I use. I have to finish a remodel job before I start on this "honey-do" list, so it will be a few weeks before I start on the doors anyway.
