    Play Structure -- Train

I have a 3 year old who is obsessed with trains. (not that we mind in the least, we enjoy them too)

Found this online but quite pricey. Had the idea yesterday to try to build something similar. Has anyone seen plans for something along these lines ?

Cardboard boxes they could sit in and draw windows and wheels on to make trains were a delight to my Grandkids when they were that age. And a lot cheaper too!

Very good idea. Could even use some spray paint to dress them up.

If I were to go the more expensive route, I had the idea of donating it to a local park once my son had outgrown it.

Not something I'm ready to act on yet......just interesting thoughts.

These look like the exact plans for that playset:

When I saw the picture, I thought I had recognized it as a Winfield Collection item. I have used some their plans in the past, and they were pretty easy to use.

There are several variations on the plan, some with more some with less features.

Just my 2 cents, I wouldn't put too much time and money into a specialized structure. Youngsters often change their wants and interests much faster than us parents want them to .
