Best coating for MDF?

    No, the cabinets are about exactly the same height as my BT3 ~38". The space you see in the pictures is one end of a 12'x28' basement workshop.

    The lower corner shelves allow just enough height for my 12" drill press. I will use the other corner for my bench grinder. My band saw will stand at the end of the bench where the extension cord is laying in the picture and my vice will be bolted to the opposite bench. The BT3 will be stored just past the band saw and rolled to the center of the room when needed. There is about 8-1/2 feet between the two benches. I have plenty of length to leave my miter saw and stand set up at the other end of the room. I use that frequently for cutting crown moldings and such. There is still room to add a jointer on the other wall if I buy one someday.

    Keep in mind that this is an all-purpose shop. My main hobby is my old Datsun 280Z, so the shop will be used for light mechanical work as well as home improvement projects and of course woodworking.
