    Near Future Project. . .

My daughter (14) digs Asian furniture & colors (i.e. black & red).

Based on a Lowes monthly flyer, I built her this set of 'ladder shelves' and have since decided to build her a desk of the same style. This is a rough photo-chop and I intend to make only 1 set of shelves below the desk surface and two above so as to smooth out the lowering of the desk surface. . .thoughts? Thanks

Love the ladder shelves. Would love to make some myself, but no room.

Looks like a good tv stand, if your not in earthquake country.

      Like the looks.
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

Great looking shelves. I like the color combination too. Where did you get the plans for them? My daughter's apartment would look good with a set like that. Pat

Spiffy looking shelves! When two color paint is called for I can not think of a better combination than Red and Black! The colors of both my high school and college. Single color has to be purple, any shade!

Be sure to post the finished project!

Yeah, you gotta pay attention. Anyway, for a 14 yr old, it's the stairway to education. Very cool looking.

Very cool indeed! How deep is the desktop going to be?

I haven't measured it out yet, but I anticipate I'll go w/about 16" for the desk surface to the wall. Her monitor will go on the wall (she's spoiled and has a 17" LCD). That should give her lots of desk surface for her printer/scanner and her drawing tablet. The computer she has is the iMac mini so it has near no footprint at all.

I like that! Wish I'd seen that before I built my shelves.
