There is a Makita 2703 Table Saw for sale locally. It appears to be very well taken care of, only used for hobby woodworking, and has all parts and accessories. I have researched past comments on several sites with the full range from a piece of crap to a wonderful piece of equipment. Someone mentioned no room for dado but a dado kit is included in sale. $350 asking price on Craigslist. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Sorry, no knowledge of that model.
what are you lacking to make your BT3 whole. Is everything working motor and height and bevel and rip fence? Should take a lot less than $350 to make it go if those are ok.Last edited by LCHIEN; 02-13-2021, 04:11 AM.Loring in Katy, TX USA
If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

Point taken. Miter setup and guard are all I know. I am just waiting on some responses on availability of replacements for those items. Shark Guard looks good and I have an inquiry into them. So I took a look around at other options and the Makita came up. In the meantime I saw complaints about its guard and fence so, if true, that would also require more mods.
Thanks for good pertinent input. Keeping this old guy on track.
