    One more question

I see a lot of people here finish their projects with 50/50 poly/mineral spirits.

Are mineral spirits the same thing as paint thinner?

    Thanks.

As far as I know, yes. My can says "paint thinner" in large print. In the smaller print it says "mineral spirits".

Some thin thier poly with naptha too. Haven't tried it myself, but they say it dries quicker.

The naptha also helps keep the moths from landing on the project and getting stuck while its drying...

Depending on the desired finish, I've also used equal parts pure tung oil/poly/mineral spirits. That's roughly what some brands sell as "tung oil finish".
