db, I got my flocking kit from either Rockler or Woodcraft, don't remember which. Looks to be the exact same thing you linked to.

    Jim, it is 9 3/4" long x 4 3/4" high.

Loring, this was my sketch done on 1/4" grid paper. I drew in the drawers after the blank was rough cut.

Pappy can you post the design as a template or a PDF?
Just the outline would be enough.

That is an awesome bandsaw box.

I also want to make a bandsaw box now - hopefully some day soon when I can go into the garage/workshop.

If it is OK I would definitely like to try those out. Thanks.

Pappy I don't know about other ones, but the flocking kit I used was from Veritas / Lee Valley (bought at the woodworking show in Houston).

Works fine for me... Easy to use. If you still need one...

And now I want to make more bandsaw boxes...

I think most bandsaw boxes are somewhat freestyle.

Beautiful band saw box! Yeah life gets in the way a lot. Seems to do it more the older we get too!

Thanks for the comments. I should have tried this years ago. Fun project even considering all the sanding. The wife said the next BS box will be a mouse with a drawer in each ear and two in the body. Now I have to find one around the house I can take a picture of for a model to work from for the shape.

    Pappy,

Great job! That's a great dolphin novelty. Fit and finish it looks terrific so thanks for posting!

On another subject, a couple of years ago I sent you some 3D printed slides for your BT, how did they work for you? Another thread here regarding 3D printing has started and I didn't know if I should post those files that I had because I didn't know if they were workable. Other than checking the fit, I never actually used them on my saw, so before I post that filed I wanted to check with you and of course with the actual designer for his permission. (I helped but it was actually his design.)

    So, what do you think?

    Thanks,

    CWS

started a topic First Band Saw Box

    First Band Saw Box

I wanted to get back to making gifts this Christmas. Unfortunately, life and bad weather kept screwing up my shop time so everything is late. This is my first attempt at a band saw box that I made for my daughter-in-law. Cut from a piece of Mahogany with Walnut drawer handles. I still have to flock the drawers, another first for me,
