      Thanks, this is how I hoped they would work out when I saw the photo on the auction site but ya never know... I am still trying to figure out how to best use the round ones but the reason for getting them was for some cheap blanks to play around on the lathe and build some skills and gain some first hand learning.

        Poolhound, have you looked on Pinterest? There are a lot of really good ideas for cutting board designs there.

          Myabe I missed it, did you just slice the legs like a loaf of bread, using a bandsaw with a tall capacity (I guess more than 6")?

            Essentially yes. I have the riser in my PWBS 14 and get ~6x6 slices when cut like bread or if I cut lengthways like a hoagie I get 6x16. When whole they look like this. Click image for larger version

              Am back at turning those legs into cutting boards. Just quartered up each leg and am squaring them up ready to glue them up into a bunch more cutting boards. Not sure quite what size they will be yet but the basic building block will be squares approx. 3x3.
