    Finished craft table

After a lot of iron on edge banding, it's done. It's as done as it's going to get
without having to buy a new tool.

    From a previous post:

I made inset doors and drawers which presented some issues. Firstly, there's
only one type of inset hinge for frameless cabinets sold at HD. The doors only
open 90deg, but they were easy to install.

The dog is not that interested in my handywork.

There should be a door covering the sewing machine cabinet. However, my
drill and bit can't fit in that space to drill holes for the hinges. I'll need a
right angle drill attachment to finish it off. Oh well.

The drawers were a piece of cake to build. I used salvage plywood from work. Cut
to size, brad nail and glue the sides together. Cut bottom to size and brad
nail and glue to bottom. Mount epoxy sides. Slide into cabinet. Oh S**T!
    It's 1/2" too wide. Slides require 1" clearance, not 1/2"!!! I couldn't pound the
box apart because of the glue. I put a new circular saw blade into my TS and
cut through the brads on one side of the drawer. I reassembled them and
    got them mounted.

Next comes drawer fronts. Why is my plant on drawer front proud of the cabinet?
I thought I measured this?!!! SOB, drawer is 1/8" too long! Rather than break
the drawer down again, I ran the melamine fronts through the planer. Blades
    were old anyway.

    Next project....

Looks good, Paul. Why bother with a door on the sewing machine cabinet?

Wait...requires new tool..forget I asked...definetly looks unfinished without the door.....

Nice job. Sounds you are like me. I have to say "Oh, no!" several times before the project is done.

How did you trim all your edge banding?

I leave a little material overhanging on each edge and then I whack it flush with
a chisel while the board is on edge.

I follow that up with a Bandit Edge trimmer. It's better on grainless melamine
banding but sometimes has issues with real wood banding. The blade can
sometimes follow the grain if you trim in the wrong direction.

I did earn some points. Now my wife wants me to build a cabinet to hang on
the wall next to the table for more storage. Guys with the wives who are/were
pregnant, can I get an "Amen" on the pregnancy phenomenon called "nesting"?
