    Rip Fence

Are the rip fences for BT3000 and BT3100 interchangeable?

Kind of. The head of the rip fence between the two differs slightly.

It's mostly in how the little indicator window for the scale is set up. I believe they work together but the BT3000 indicator might be more suceptible to breakage.

This is a comparison of the BT3000 and BT3100 front rail to which the rip fence clamps.
As you can see they are not identical; however the rear rails are.

The difference in the front rail is the downward protrusion pointing at your knees. This protrusion holds the measuring scale for the rip fence horizontal position.
The top and back of the rails are identical meaning that the BT3000 and BT3100 rip fences will work with and clamp properly to either rail. AFAIK.

What you will find is that the indicator cursor for the rip fence T-head will not be the same... you can see the difference on the picture below. side by side on a BT3100
The BT3000 has a little clear plastic window with a hairline red cursor. The BT3100 has a entire framed window in the casting with a pointer. I'm pretty sure that has no effect on use.

In short, it should work OK.

I've had BT3100 rails on my BT3000 for about 18 years. There's no compatibility issues with the BT3000 components.
