Thought I Broke The Rip Fence!

I was sawing some glued up panels this afternoon for the side table I'm making for our living room when suddenly the rip fence locking handle went much farther down than it has for the last 26 years. It took me nearly 20 minutes to finally figure out what happened. The drift pin the handle pivots on had worked its way out of one side of the main fence casting and was not fully locking things down. A drop of blue thread lock and a few taps with a mallet put things right.

I would have loved to see the expression on your face!

Thanks for telling us. I will look out for that in the future, if it happens to me, and if I can remember it!
