Got this along with a bt3100 purchase. Any idea what this is?

It looks like the bracket for a Shark guard riving knife that the guard attaches to.

This is a picture of the shark guard and all the pieces.
THe shark guard was an aftermarket blade guard and riving knife made by out late member Lee Styroon aka Stytooner.

The clamp attaches to the top of the riving knife. And the the blade guard/dust shroud attaches to the clamp using the posts as a swivel.

I just searched google images for "shark Guard clamp" and got tons of illustrations.

And of course you can go to his original site and look at how it is all used: http://thesharkguard.com/
I think his son still runs it... you can probably find advice there.

Picture of the clamp installed: (note, its not a BT3100 riving knife)
