    Motor

    Im under the assumption that a 3100-1 Motor can be installed in a 3000 machine. Am I correct
    The bitterness of poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of low cost is forgotten!

    I believe so. I have an early production model BT3000 and a pre-production BT3100 and if I recall correctly, the locker brackets were the same. The BT3000 motors were made by Singer here in the US, but the BT3100 was made in China. If you can't mount the new motor on the old bracket, you should be able to swap the entire locker bracket assemblies.

      I think there were several. iterations of motors.
      Jim is probably right you will get more consistent interchangability by taking the locker bracket with the motor.

        Thanks,I ended Up Using 3001 Motor shims and Guide holder on the 3000 locker bracket.The 3001 bkt.had more play for some reason
