    BT3000 13A vs. 15A motor

Does anyone know how the 13 amp motor differs from the 15 amp motors in the BT3000 (in appearance)? I’m guessing they’re very similar to the early 15 amp motor but am not for sure.

I had a 13 amp BT3000 I picked up used, put brushes in, got it going again then gave it to my brother in law. The motor you show as a 15 amp 1994 motor looks like the 13 amp motor from that saw... I never knew they made a 15 amp motor that size / shape...

From what I understand, the only way to determine the motor amperage is from the ID tag on the side of the table saw... where you also find the build date. I've seen several BT3000 with 1993/1994 dates that state 15A and they look like the motor in the left picture... including mine that I purchased new in mid 93. I was just curious what the 13A motor might look like.

Well the 94 photo looks like that 13 amp motor except the housing was gray...
