    Broke Belt on 3100

I need to replace the belt, but I am a little confused, do I need one belt or two belts?

Also, where is the best place to buy them. I found them on Ryobi parts site for around $30.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Mike

The saw should have two belts. THey are sold singly, not in pairs.
I just went to the sears parts site.
    BT3100 belts 662329-001 list at 37.13
BT3000 belts are 662329-001 and $18.95 but should be the same part.
The BT300 also lists 662329-001 on the same page but as 37.13.
I believe I'd click on the $18.95 parts (in stock)

We carry millions of appliance parts, snow blower, lawn & garden replacement parts, water filters and more. No matter where you bought it, Sears Parts Direct has the right parts.

The belts for the 22811 (Craftsman BT3000) should be identical and do in fact have the same number and $37.13 price.
Curiously the belts for the 21829 which should also be the same are $26.74 and a different part number (424010003)

I'd buy the $18.95 part in the link I provided.

Welcome Mike and good luck on your repair. How did the belt break? Age or in the middle of a deep cut? Just curious as my aging BT blew its switch today and I am wondering if I should shell out the coin to have two belts on the shelf ;-)

Since I have 2 saws married together I always have a set of belts on hand. Not that they break that often but getting them here in Alaska can take a week or more.
          Cork,

I broke the belt cutting a piece of 2x10 I was to lazy to get my circular saw out to cut. Lesson learned to say the least.

Thanks for the response. Did the kerf pinch up on the board? Sometimes 2x does that.

Riving knife should have prevented this.
