I've just moved my BT3100 to a new shop and thought that I would go through the entire alignment procedure. When I go to align the SMT base to the blade I noticed that there was a gap between the rear silver bar and the rear rail -- that doesn't seem quite right.. The rear rail is attached right side up - I double checked.
As it is now, only the front silver bar on the lower side of the SMT base is in full contact with the black front rail... I noticed that when the rear clamps are pull down tight, the rear rail deflects a bit and takes up the gap between the black rear rail and silver bar on the lower side of the SMT base.
I haven't seen this discussed and the search term would be pretty hard to figure out..
Hints anyone?
