    Shims came loose

I made some Dado cuts last night just before quitting for the day. Came back this morning and put the crosscut blade back on and made a test cut just to make sure it was straight. It wasn't so I made the adjustments and couldn't get the same cut everytime. After a few minutes I found the shims on the outside were loose. Got my trusty allen wrench and found that both were about 2 full turns out before contacting the shims.

I checked the Dados and found the first 2 were good, then the cuts got worse till they were off by about 1/16 over 3". That is ofcourse the same I found this morning. I'm back on line again but my question is, why did the screws back off. I just cut Dados last week and do so about every week. Why just all of a sudden would both screws back off. Not hot on Locktite but if it does it agin I'll lock them in.
    Cork,

Are you sure the shims are still in place? If they are and the tabs are still good you should use some low strength lock-tite.
