    Attaching Dual Miter Slot

I have a dual miter slot for my BT3000, and I cant seem to get it on, I can not tighten the nut tight enough to be able to use it. Do you guys have any recommendations or articles I could look at!
    Thanks

Do you mean that no matter how tight the bolt is the miter slots move or that the nut bolt wont tighten. I know its a silly question but are you using the washer and if so on which side. On mine its on the top side unde the head.

I cut a piece of the 3/4" aluminum channel Lowes sells for plywood edging to length to fit inside the bottom of the miter slot table and drilled it for the bolt and used a longer bolt.
That puts pressure all along the bottom therefore requiring less tension from the bolt to keep it in place.
I'd add a pic but, I'm at work right now.

I guess it seems as if I can not get to the nut or bolt to tighten it, sounds wierd, but thats my problem right now!

I forgot to mention that I also drilled an access hole through the table top so I could get to the head of an allen-headed bolt with the nut on the bottom.

Sorry it took so long to take pics. Weather (snow/ice/temp) has caused my 36 mile commute to take over 2 hours plus the plowing and clean up at home.
Hope these help explain what I was trying to say.

I see and understand rcp612's pictures, but I still don't understand the OP's problem with the table. It is held down with a bolt and nut, so how can it not be getting tight? Unless the bottom of the miter slot table is warped, it should tighten just fine as designed.

I think you may have the problem nailed. The bottom of my miter slot was not flat to start with which, was the reasoning behind my using the aluminum channel. I couldn't force myself to try to flatten it and, the bolt just applied pressure in the area that was un-flat. (Is that a word,,,, is now )
Anyway, the channel put pressure across a much wider area, flattened the bottom of the table, and, most importantly, held tight without excess pressure.
